OMNITEK ENGINEERING EXPECTS STRONG DEMAND FOR ITS HIGH-PRESSURE
NATURAL GAS FILTER

SAN MARCOS, CA — July 28, 2010 — Omnitek Engineering Corporation (OTCQB: OMTK) today announced it has sold more than 20,000 high-pressure natural gas filters since the component’s introduction, bolstered by receiving international certification from an independent agency in January based on tests and standards sanctioned by the United Nationals Economic Commission for Europe, specifically UN-ECE-110R.

“Based on market demand for CNG-powered vehicles and international certification for this critical component of a compressed natural gas system, which provides protection from solid particulate matter and oil aerosols, we anticipate shipping volume to continue to increase,” said Werner Funk, president and chief executive officer of Omnitek Engineering Corporation.

He added that customers include numerous internationally recognized original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers, with applications for light and heavy duty vehicles powered by CNG – such as automobiles, buses and trucks. Funk noted that industry sources estimate there are approximately 11.0 million light and heavy duty vehicles operating worldwide on compressed natural gas, with at least one million more vehicles being added each year.
