OMNITEK ENGINEERING EXPANDS APPLICATION OF ITS TECHNOLOGY WITH
GENERATOR PROJECT IN NORTHEAST

--Diesel-to-Natural Gas Converted Engine to Provide Backup Power for Critical Services--

VISTA, CA — February 9, 2015 — Omnitek Engineering Corp. (OTCBB: OMTK) today announced it has received an order for a diesel-to-natural gas converted engine for a 225 kilowatt power generator from a multinational power solutions company, which is also the system integrator for an emergency backup power system being developed for a micro-grid project in the Northeast United States.

The project is part of an initiative to address potential power outages at critical service locations during natural disasters -- particularly law enforcement, fire departments and other critical services. Additional details will be announced as they become available.

“Omnitek’s technology provides a reliable and cost-effective solution to critical power requirements in emergency situations where electric power and diesel supplies are threatened. We are gratified to have been selected for this important project. Converting diesel backup generators to natural gas rather then buying new, helps genset owners to capitalize on the long service life of an expensive piece of equipment,” said Werner Funk, president and chief executive officer of Omnitek Engineering Corp.

“We look forward to additional opportunities in the power generation market, as well as other stationary engine applications. Our diesel-to-natural gas engine conversion technology is available across the United States and the world, and has the potential to reduce fuel costs substantially,” Funk said.

The utilization of Omnitek’s natural gas engine technology for this micro-grid project follows the company’s recently announced application of its technology for two natural gas locomotive engines powering a Czech Railways train in a pilot program being conducted between the Czech cities of Opava and Hlučín.
